How to delete viewed recording

I just upgraded to 1.7.6 for Synology NAS. Recorded a show in progress just to test if anything broke. Initially, nothing seemed off. I watched some of the recording then tried to delete it. But, alas, there was no option to delete it. All I get is a Close button. How do I delete a recording already viewed?

Turn on allow media deletion in settings - Server/Library. Be aware that this allows any users to delete media so if you share your server with others they will be able to delete media as well.

But… never used that before. But, ok.

@johnm_ColaSC That’s not quite true. Only the server admin can delete content. So if you share with friends who use their own accounts, no worries, you only need to worry about yourself clicking delete.

@DaveBinM Thanks that is good to know. I thought from another thread that any user would be able to delete. Just confirmed on my server that only the admin account can delete a file.

As it turns out, the ‘Allow Media Deletion’ checkbox was set. Bringing up Plex this morning, the programs were no longer appearing in my DVR folder, but the recording schedule still showed them. No biggie.
