How to deterministically troubleshoot the scanning/agent process?

What is the best method of troubleshooting the agent process of scanning files into a library? Is there any logging that can be enabled to troubleshoot the scanning process? I am getting about 15% of my files loaded into the library. The other “eligible” files are simply ignored. How do I determine why the agent/scanner is ignoring those files?

Plex keeps logs in the server log location. Post a copy of your logs, and a filename that isnt getting scanned. A vast majority of the time its either a naming or folder structure issue.
