Is there a way to get Plex Media Server to respect the existing setting for “Start Plex Media Server With Windows”? Even though I right click the tray icon and untick it, it always reticks on upgrades, whether the upgrades are done manually or via Plex Web.
I need it not to start with windows because I have my plex data drive mount as a VHD on windows logon, then a script that waits 60 seconds after logon to launch plex, to ensure plex’s data drive mounts before plex attempts to launch. When it reticks this box, on reboots, plex always kicks off before the drive mounts, causing it to hang since it can’t find it’s data/database.
For now I have the plex launch script kill any plex server processes before launching it, which works well enough but prefer to just have the startup option stay unticked.
Thanks in advance for any help.
