For as many versions I can remember, whenever I upgrade Plex Media Server, the “Start Plex Media Server at Login” setting has been overwritten. I explicitly want this disabled because I run some maintenance and scripts when my system starts up to verify mounted network shares, VMs running, etc…
Inevitably, I update Plex (either by downloading the installer myself, or by choosing the overnight install option from a client), and the network shares for whatever reason don’t properly mount at next boot. Boom, scheduled maintenance/library scanning boinks my library.
Are others experiencing this bug? It saves the setting between boots/starts of the same version, but installing either beta or public updates always turns auto-start back on.
