I have an old LG TV that is not a smart TV - I believe this TV is around 10 or more years. To use Plex, I connect it to a Chromecast 2. However, the issue I’m having is that the surround sound is automatically turned on and I cannot find a way to turn it off.
Previously, I found a solution, but it no longer works after an update. When the surround sound is on, I lose control of the volume from my app and Chromecast.
The TV sound becomes extremely loud, even when I set the volume to 15 or 20 (out of 100). The difference in volume between level 5 and 6 or 7 is too significant, resulting in either too loud or too low sound.
Can anyone offer any help?
