How to Disabling Intro Video Markers?

Server Version#: Version 1.25.5.5492
Player Version#: ANY

While this is somewhat of a edge case I’d like to know how to successfully disable Intro Video Markers once they had already been created.

I would have assumed it was to set Generate intro video markers to never and that overtime it would remove the ones already created, however this does not happen.

What actually happens is that the com.plexapp.plugins.library.blobs.db does remove the information as on my test system where I tried this it reduced from 1.1GB to 25MB after a couple of days of server maintenance.

However, the skip intro prompt still comes up on the client and if I check the xml for any episode it still has the Marker id properties. Anyone know how to fully disable this ?

I don’t think there’s a way to disable the skip-intro popup or to force-delete the markers of previously detected intros.

Okay, thanks for letting me know.

Does also make me wonder what all the the stuff in the blobs db is really used for

Turn off “Enable intro detection” in the library advanced setting tab.

That just stops new episodes from being analyzed.

Right, I’ve that disabled also sorry should have said that. And your correct new intro detection is not happening but one’s already done still exist.

In my test just now, turning off that setting immediately removes the markers from the XML and the skip intro does not appear for me anymore.

Okay, let me double check again. Will report back later thanks.

@anon18523487 your right. I had it set to never via the overall server settings / library but you also need to disable it at the actual library level.

Once I done that it removed the intro markers from the xml. I guess both need to disabled to fully disable the feature.

Much appreciated and thanks for your input.
