How to drop files to server on VPS(Best practice)

Hi,
I’ve installed a PLEX server on a linux VPS in the cloud. I can stream video just fine, the server is able to transcode 4K and serve material in real time. However, uploading videos to the server is painfully slow. I use WinSCP and even if i have 100 Mbps bandwidth on Server and Client side (I tested both sides) WinSCP only manages to transfer 350 KB/s (~3 Mbps).

I guess scp can be throttled by CPU, but I didn’t expect it to be so drastic.

Is this to be expected? How do you guys upload your content to your servers?

Thanks

I think most people use Goolge Drive or Amazon Cloud Drive and connect their VPS using rclone or plexdrive. Check out the VPS thread: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/262896/plex-cloud-vs-vps-why-we-went-with-a-vps

Ah, I can’t access that link, but I did read this: https://medium.com/@privatewahts/building-an-infinite-plex-media-server-using-amazon-cloud-drive-for-average-computer-users-d16caab62d14. That seems very neat and convenient, but of course I’d like to access my 500 GB HD as well.
