Is there a way to have show premiers show up in my “Continue Watching” feed? Shows only show up here after at least one episode is marked “watched.” This isn’t helpful for shows that have only aired one episode.
I’d like to use a smart collection to replace “Continue Watching” but I don’t see an option to remove “Continue Watching” from my home screen.
I “think” although i am not 100% sure that if you play just a couple of minutes in the web interface or on any client the show gets placed in continue watching. I also seem to remember that one of the options accessed via the three dot menu is “Place in continue watching.”
I have not used that functionality in so long that my old brain might be misremembering
Start to play the file, jump ahead a few minutes then exit
When you’re ready to watch the episode from the continue watching row just click “play from start”
I do this when a new season of a show comes out because it’s too far back in the continue watching and I forget about it
There is no “add to continue watching” and there’s no way to remove the continue watching row unless you unpin or exclude every library from the home screen

You were right on the money too but BeattifulCadaver jumped in first.
I do find it bizarre that you can’t remove the Continue Watching bar and yet can’t add anything to it yourself.
Try setting both “Weeks to consider for Continue Watching” and “Maximum number of Continue Watching items which will appear” to 0 in Settings → (Server name) → Library. It will take a day or two for everything to fall off, but once empty, Continue Watching will no longer appear. At least that is my experience.
Note: If you have multiple servers, you’ll have to do this for each of them.
