How to make Plex to understand different TV shows naming convention comming from receivers EPG

I had no other chance than get the EPG directly from the receiver, because Plex will not provide me with the Czech TV EPG anymore.
So I made a script which downloads it to the Plex server as a xml file, but the resulting EPG probably doesn’t have such fancy things as attribute defining a movie or TV show or there is a possibility it doesn’t understand the syntax of the TVshow numbering.
I am really not sure how it works.

Is there any way to teach Plex how to recognize TV shows in the EPG coming from the receiver?

All the show names follow this pattern.
if this is second or further season:
ShowName Season Episode
String RomaNumeric (number)
Big Little Lies II. (1)
there are also channels where there is no dot in the season part.

in case it is first season:
ShowName Episode
String (number)
Big Little Lies (1)
