I looked on the Plex forums and did google search and reviewed Plex articles on this but am not finding what I need.
I know how to add someone to my Plex to give them library access should I want to. I know where to look at my watch history in the dashboard along with someone I would give access to.
My challenge is that a friend I gave access to lost their information I sent to them to access. I have their name in the account with library access. I have only done this once and it’s very limited access for them. Regardless, I see their name and folders I have given them access to. But I don’t see anywhere how I can edit the name to see the email or whatever I used to give them access and password if I want to modify that as well (if that’s possible).
What am I missing? Should I just delete their name and start over?
You don’t have access to their email. You cannot change their password for them. It is their account not yours.
Of he forgot his password he can use the forgot password link to reset to get a new one sen to the account email. If you sent them an invite with the wrong email then delete the one you have and sent him another with the correct email. If neither of you know what his email is then you will need to make a new account with a known correct email
YOU SAID: Of he forgot his password he can use the forgot password link to reset to get a new one sen to the account email.
Unfortunately, they don’t know the link to request the password from, nor do I to be honest. This is a new area for me so I appreciate the help.
I didn’t send them an invite using the wrong email but I can just delete their account I set up and do another one for them as they don’t have the information/email from when I first set it up for them.
Is there a way to know what the link would be, or is it unique to each person you give access to?
The capture you seen indicates that he would do either his username I created for him, or the email where the invite or whatever was sent to? So in this case:
