How to play ATMOS content on a Windows box?

Hello,
I have a medium specced Windows HTPC that plays ATMOS content through programs such as potplayer (passthrough).

I can’t get ATMOS or pass through working using Plex, though.

It seems the using Plex in a browser doesn’t allow passthrough (can’t even see audio options in the settings). The Plex Media Player, it seems, only provides audio settings when in the clunky TV mode, there is no passthrough option anymore, and ATMOS didn’t work even if all codecs (including truehd 7.1) are selected.

Am I doing something wrong, and do I have all of this right?

If so, it seems that atmos won’t work on a Windows box.

Thanks

Fixed it with the help of someone on the reddit plex subreddit.

Entered the plexmediaplayer.conf to enable passthrough - however it was already enabled for all audio streams (which doesn’t make sense as there is no option, it seems, in teh settings and it’s supposed to be off by default?). However, the entries allowac3, allowdca, allowtruehd were set to false. I set them to true and it works.

This is not logical. Rather than forging ahead with VR, the plex team should fix the basic player and help pages.
