New user wanting to set up channel recording from Spectrum (and Amazon and other streaming services) to a NAS device (Netgrear ReadyNAS).

Where can I find instructions to go through the setup?
I have installed the app on the NAS device, Roku and my laptop and all are connected to the same account.

Thanks!

The DVR feature uses a digital tuner, not the box from your cable company. You can use a digital tuner that accepts a cable card and get one of those from your provider. That will allow you to access nonencrypted content from your provider.

Plex cannot records from streaming services.

Hi,
I am wanting to record from OTA services (free) and not from a cable company.
I have Plex installed on Roku and on my ReadyNAS 314. However, plex will not recognize my Antop antenna.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Got a tuner?
Plex don’t seek out your antenna.
Plex seeks out the networked tuner connected to the antenna.

I was thinking that modem TVs Have tuners in them. Is this not sufficient for Plex?
Thanks

The tuners - yes.
The antennas - I wouldn’t.
(unless you can see the light blinking on the tower)

Ok, so best thing to do, anyway is get a tuner?
The ones I saw had hdd drives, which is not what I was aiming for. I’m wanting to be able to stream to any roku tv with plex installed.

Many thanks!
