How do I do a “refresh” to see the changes in items? On my FireTV I just hit the settings button while looking at my library and everything updates.
Plex on Xbox doesn’t seem to have this option so if I add a new file it doesn’t show up until… Maybe a hard reset of the xbox?

No, just go into any item and then in the top right corner hit “Go Home”.
The homescreen should load again (refresh)
Nope, just tried again to confirm. “Go home” doesn’t refresh anything
inside a folder.

You can also close the app (Go to the xbox dashboard, hit ‘menu’ and choose ‘Close’)
Then you can start the app fresh without hard rebooting your console.
The current version won’t refresh until you completely quit the app and relaunch it. Makes it annoying if you use instant on.

In general I’d have to say I like the polished look and actual video
playing of Xbox one better than firetv, but xbox one seems to have a lot
more trouble just getting started and getting to videos. Lots of errors and
just feels a but cludgy. But my Nyko remote and slow internet may have some
contribution to that.
Running into the same issue – need to “quit” app to get it to refresh. Hope this is fixed in the next version.
Seconded. Explaining exiting the app on the Xbox One to the wife while I’m on the road isn’t an easy task 
Had some thoughts about this elsewhere (maybe force a refresh on application focus, rather than just startup). Have added a ticket internally to track this - seems like a good idea! Thanks.
