I have an old 1936 movie serial (Captain Eddie Rickenbacker’s Ace Drummond) that Plex simply refuses/fails to match properly when I try to put it in as a TV show, even though the TVDB lists it that way and it has worked to do this for several other such serials (Flash Gordon, Commando Cody, etc.).
So, I switched to adding it in as a movie, and putting each separate chapter/episode in as an extra (in my Featurettes folder). Plex matches it OK this way, BUT I can’t find any way to get the extras to appear in alphabetical order - even though the file names for each episode all start with “Chapter 1”, “Chapter 2”, etc., Plex displays all the chapters in some random order on the Featurettes line, which makes it a PITA to try to watch the episodes in proper order.
Is there some way to force Plex to display the extras/featurettes in the desired alphabetical order?
Thanks. Seems I remember that this used to work (back when I had my other serials done this way, before I figured out they would work better as TV shows) - is this something they broke with some recent update?
Same issue here. What is going on there? The order is out of control
Any progress? I have several additional data like featurettes, behind the secenes or openings (anime) I would love to order, but there is no way at all…
I’ll just mention that I’m also suffering from this right now. The Lord of the Rings has a lot of extras, and a lot of them are different views of the same scene (different cameras, different stages of production, etc.) which makes this random sorting really painful.
