I encounter an issue when trying to tage dsd files in Plex. After saving the changes, Plex overwrites them with something rather useless for me. How can I correctly dsd files in Plex?
If the DSD file type you are talking about is the CAD DSD file type then I think Plex does not support it.
I searched the Plex knowledge base for DSD and received zero results.
Looking through the resources I can see; DSD audio files aren’t supported yet. FFMPEG support for DSD is only partial at this level. It appears to be able to decode but lacks other component to perform DS over PCM or the other things I see which I clearly admit is beyond my expertise in class A and A/B vacuum tube amps 
Plex doesn’t read any embedded metatags from DSD files.
You can only use the method for ‘untagged’ files when adding DSD files into Plex.

thank you very much for your answers. I recreated my music library as a premium library. I still had issues with the dsd files not being recognised, but at least in the premium setup Plex no longer overwrote my edited tags.
