Hi all,
Using plex via docker on unraid. For a while not I’ve noticed that my TV show library seems to be getting scanned multiple times per day, but it doesn’t seem to happen with any of my other libraries. These are my library scan settings:
So my understanding is with these settings, Plex should only do a limited scan of one directory when it detects changes. However, it seems to scan the whole library since it takes a LONG time to complete, like 30 minutes at least (haven’t timed it).
I have done a lot of searching on this issue and some have suggested that it may be an inotify watcher issue. I haven’t received any warnings about this from unraid, but I went ahead and upped the inotify watchers from 512k to 10,000,000 since i have plenty of memory. That hasn’t seemed to help at all.

also, all of these are set as scheduled tasks over night, not when media are added.
