How to turn off sonic analysis?

I do not have any music in my apex library, yet it is constantly running sonic analysis.
I turned off the scheduled task, yet it still scans for music.

is there a way to fully disable it?

  1. disable Sonic Analysis / features in the Advanced tab of your audio libraries
  2. set Settings > [Server Name] > Library > Analyze audio tracks for sonic features to Never

it is set to never, yet it is still scanning.

And your server specifically indicates it’s doing a sonic analysis anyway? Or is this some regular scan?

Make sure it is off, stop the Plex server app, restart Plex server app. If it goes back to doing the sonic analysis scan then provide the

  1. NAS Type and Model
  2. DSM Version installed
  3. PMS version
  4. Affix the “server-XXXXX” tag so we are notified of it and can find it easier.
  5. Provide Plex server logs.
