How to Use the "Other Videos" Library?

Server Version#: Version 4.87.2

I added An Additional Library Used the Default Selection “Other Videos” & Matching Title

(Verified Library Type = Other Videos)

Advanced: Scanner: Plex Video Files & Plex Video Files Scanner

Agent: Personal Media(Unchecked All boxes Below, and Disabled Collections)

Under The Agents Tab For MOVIES|SHOWS|ARTISTS|ALBUMS|PHOTOS| in the “Personal Media” Sub category Moved (Blue Checked) “Local Media Assets” To The Top

Created Shared Directory Titled “Home Videos” per Naming Convention here: https://support.plex.tv/articles/200265246-personal-media-movies/

Gave the Files Names, as Well Edited the Metadata In Both .MP4 Files

Plex cannot Find or Display anything? Is this Feature legitimate? Or something that was never implemented or Broken in a Recent Release?

I Have been using Plex for Years, I have Movies, TV Shows, Music All working & Displaying just fine without an Issue. I Even changed the Permissions on this particular Shared Folder to give Guest Full Read/Write Access which is only “Read” on the other Directories Plex reads just fine.

I also Grabbed an MP4 from the TV-Shows That Plex Can see, Renamed it to lose the Typical Episode Convention, and It couldn’t even pick that up, so I know it’s not the Video Files Themselves.

This is a Plex server installed on Synology if that makes a Difference.

if you are on DSM7 the plexmediaserver needs permission to the share if it is not really showing anything ( regardless of metadata)

Thank you I totally forgot you had to go into the Sub Drop-Down In Permissions In Internal Users and Individually give Plex the Read Access There as Well.
