I’m a new user and downloaded Plex so I can stream home videos on my Google drive to my tv. I have the app already installed on my TV. What are the next steps? How do I link to the videos on my google drive?
Plex won’t show files that are lying around somewhere in the cloud. Plex is running with it’s own “Plex Media Server” that catalogues your media and makes it available to your clients (e.g. the Plex app on your TV). For that to work, the Plex Media Server needs to have access to the files (as in: they need to be accessible as part of your local file system).
