Sonos stopped music “from this device”. (I didn’t understand the explanation.) They say instead you can upload your tracks to a streaming service and then play them on Sonos. They listed some suitable services, including Plex. I got the (Android) Plex app and signed up. But I can’t see how to upload my tracks.
Plex is - mostly - a media server application, where you run a program (the server) on any computer, point the program at your media, and then you can stream/send this media you own to other devices (the android app on your phone, a sonos device, or others). By the sound of it, you installed a music player on your phone, but need to install and set up the media server program on a computer you own to stream this content.

Thanks for that, OttoKerner. Looks fairly easy! Actually, though, I already uploaded my music to SoundCloud, and I discovered Sonos can play it.
