[HowTo] Update PMS on QNAP using SSH

If you want to update PMS on your QNAP using SSH, it can be done by doing the following:

  1. Browse to https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/
    • Select the relevant QPKG
    • Right-Click on the download link, and copy to your clipboard
  2. Open an SSH connection to your QNAP
  3. In the console, type:
    • cd /share/Public
    • curl <DOWNLOADLINK> --output pms.qpkg
    • chmod +x pms.qpkg
    • ./pms.qpkg

Above will download and install/update PMS from Plex download site
