HTPC issues with controlling from a remote client

Hi,

I’ve been having various issues when controlling a HTPC client for windows from another Plex Apps ( like Plex for Android, Plexamp on Android or Plex for Mac/Windows … )

When selecting the HTPC client from the other apps , and trying to play some media like some music file, it initiates the playback but then the remote controlling app shows an error and disconnects from the HTPC client. ( the Plex for Android says “An error occurred while attempting to play this vide. Please check your connection and try again” , in the Plex for Mac happens something similar , the timeline gets stuck on 0s and then after a few seconds it disconnects from the HTPC )

When using Plexamp to control HTPC, it initiates the playback but the playing screen is blank ( no album art / metadata , just loading spinning icon for at least 15seconds and then it shows up )

Controlling via HTTP API also doesn’t seem to work correctly ( the HTPC client is listed twice in the available clients , one with address 127.0.0.1 ) ( sometimes it’s listed only once and with the 127.0.0.1 rather than the server’s IP address )
When using Plex API python wrapper, it struggles to connect to the HTPC instance it just times out when trying to pause / play the HTPC player.

Other Plex clients seem to be working fine. Just the HTPC .
I’ve also tried HTPC for Mac and it seems to have the similar issues.

All the clients and the server are on the same network.
To me it looks like there is something wrong how HTPC clients are handled and controlled.

Is anyone else having issues with controlling HTPC clients ?

Some other observations :

When casting from Plexamp ( Android & Mac ) to HTPC, the Plex Dashboard is empty ( observing via Plex for Mac ). Casting from Plexamp to Plexamp does show the media in the Plex dashboard .

When casting from Plex for Mac to HTPC, the timeline gets stuck at 0:00 .

When casting from Plexamp ( Android & Mac ) to HTPC, music starts playing but Plexamp freezes for over 20 seconds ( Now Playing screen without album art or any details just a spinning circle) and then shows the Now Playing screen with album art and details.

When sending command ( like Play/Pause ) to HTPC via API , it actually triggers the command but the HTTP call hangs and times out.
