I’m hoping someone has a trick to this. I have just migrated to PMP on Windows 10 with an HTPC. The hardware is a Zotac ZBox Magnus EN1060K. I’ve been completely happy, video is smoother than my Shield, and it can play my multi-channel flac without transcoding so mission accomplished.
The only nuisance, is wake-up from sleep. The box has a built in IR sensor. and my Harmony One remote will program to it. However, the box only wakes up from USB, not from the IR. So it will goto sleep when I change modes with the Harmony, but it won’t wake up unless I punch a key on the USB keyboard.
I Have a FLIRC and tried to play around with that, but you can’t customize the Harmony One like you used to since they changed the app and i’m not sure it would work anyway. At any rate, I was successful at one time with getting it to wake up from the remote only by: having the harmony in “device” mode for the Flirc, programming the power button for sleep/wake using the app, and then triggering the button.
However, I can’t get enough customization with the new Harmony software to get it to work with the marco of changing functions, and after trying some more programming I can’t even get it back to working manually like I did.
So does anyone know how to make a HTPC wake by IR from sleep mode with a Haromony? I’m not beyond buying other hardware , newer remote or the newer generation FLIRC if I knew it would work. I just don’t want to throw away money at it, because everything else works fine.
Is there a WMP USB IR receiver I could use with the current setup (built in IRC is seen as a WMP remote). but it should work if plugged into the USB port. I haven’t been able to find one.
Thanks in advance.
