So I bought a Flirc IR to let me use my Harmony remote and setting it up has beaten me. I have managed to get some keys working, but then it just seems to jump around on its own switching from box to box.
Anyone else got this working? The instructions on here seem well out of date or just too hard to follow. I would have thought this would all be set up with Logitec just to work out of the box.
I recently migrated my PMP and PMS from a MacMini to a Windows 10 solution. I just got the Flirc IR and Harmony working. It took a lot of research and then fine tuning between the Flirc and MyHarmony apps. I added some functionality to the standard Flirc/Plex profile in Harmony such as remote buttons to toggle Full Screen, restart Plex, toggle subtitle, and scroll between audio tracks.
The only thing I haven’t been able to do is my old school PHT shortcuts, in Harmony Screen Commands, to get directly to my media libraries such as “TV Shows” and “Movies”. I have a shortcut to get back Home simply because it’s supported in PMP but, In the PHT world, we used to configure an XML file that would map Plex URL commends (ex. to Red, Green, Yellow, Blue from the Harmony remote. I could then click “Movies” on my remote from anywhere in PHT and it would take me to my Movies library. Would love to find someway to get this working again using the URL commands.
EDIT: I did manage to implement a dirty workaround for “Movies” and “TV Shows” shortcuts using MyHarmony Sequences. Basically a button script (Home, Right, Select = TV Shows). It’s kind of slow and you need to keep the remote pointed but it does work.
