https://MyDomain.com:32400/web - failed to open

Hi there,

I’m running version 1.15.6.1079 of PMS, and everything about Plex seems to be working normally on my Synology box, as I can access it from my AppleTV, web browser and iPhone. However, when I click on PMS from within Synology Main Menu, it tries open a browser window to https://MyDomain.com:32400/web (or https://MyStaticIP:32400/web) and it throws the “failed to open” error message. However, I can go to https://plex.tv/web and connect just fine.

I have port forwarding turned on for port #32400, so that it’s pointing to my Synology box, and in PMS I have manually specified the public port as 32400.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

Where do I specify/define the IP address that PMS is attempting to connect to, as I have no idea how or why it’s attempting to connect to my domain IP? Or are you suggesting that I not click on the PMS add, and use a Bookmark instead?

What you’ve stated makes sense, as I always login to my Synology box by typing my domain name, and not the IP addy. I just logged in using the internal IP addy, clicked on the DSM PMS app, and didn’t get an error.
