It would have saved a bit of time to know you’re in Docker.

I’m not seeing and reference to HW transcoding detection

  1. Is it enabled in Settings - Server - Transcoder - Show Advanced
  2. Is this a new container which needs mapping to the physical /dev/dri directory again ?

Thanks
Having a look at portainer it does appear Dev/dri is not mapped.
Lemme see if I can fix it

May I ask the stupid question?

Do you have a specific reason to use Docker on the host?
If not, why not run the native installer?

An entirely new installer is being released and is much more intelligent and well behaved that its predecessor.

I have a forum preview of it with 1.17.0.1812 currently available for folks to look and try if so desired

It’s the way I have it all setup atm.

Way too many dependencies and automation to change atm . Might do it at a later time .

But thanks for the suggestion

Ok.

Updates would be available, automated, via the repository and normal OS updates so that much will be removed from your “to do” list.
