I donā€™t know. I can only suggest you search but I donā€™t think the two can be compared because Linux uses VA-API and Windows uses DXVA2 - two entirely different mechanisms.

This does not work on Windows does it? Last time I tried it kept crashing PMS. Iā€™m using a 9700K.

yes, it does and all reports Iā€™ve seen are that it works as advertised.

If this follows the last major update, it will be a few weeks but I canā€™t predict Engineeringā€™s schedule and Iā€™ve not been informed of their plans.

So far, it seems to be working well. I suspect they would like to be certain the new HW codecs (VC-1 etc) are solid before releasing mainstream.

It indeed does support 9xxx CPUā€™s. I have it running right now on a i5-9600k running Fedora 30 Server. I donā€™t imagine there would be any issues running on a i9-9900k that are not inherent to running a beta release. Yesterday I had 7 streams, 6 UHD and 1 HD, running from this server all of them being hardware transcoded.

The only issues that Iā€™ve seen with it so far are some minor pixilation issues with that on some systems. There seems to be more issues with video in the web viewer. Seek issues and some cases of heavy pixilaiton while viewing.

Over all Iā€™m very pleased with it.

New version that supports hardware on a i5-9600K, 1.1.17, came down through normal channels the other day. So far so good. No issues.
