HW Transcoding not rly working

Hello Folks, having trouble getting hw transcoding with quicksync running.

My setup is an Debian Buster 10.2 (no desktop) on an Asrock J4105 SOC Mainboard. Both direct installation and using a docker image output the same error:
The Audio is fine, the video not rly existing. Doesnt matter what resolutions/codecs i take for transcoding or original video

Its like having a single frame and every 10-15sec some pixel change. The output of intel_gpu_top seams okay, only ~30% is used. Also the CPU is “ideling” at ~15%

I installed the va driver packet, added both video and render group to plex … all the things i could find in other posts, but nothing helped. Does someone have an idea?

@ ChuckPA had the right answer.
For docker exec into container, go to /usr/lib/plexmediaserver/lib/dri/ and delete that iHD_drv_video.so, restart container and it’s doing the job :heartpulse:

You should also find that now, using the new packaging, you can install in a tiny or binhex docker container directly.

I have given additional checks to respect those environments.

Coming in the next update to the packaging should be LXC detection (soon as it’s 100% reliable)
