If I add friends to my plex server (friends who stream over the internet), and I have a plex pass, and run hardware transcoding on my Nas - do my friends also have to have a plex pass for hardware transcoding to work?
They can use the hardware transcoding, since your server has a Plex Pass.

I had to use Firefox to make this comment. I normally use Chrome. But one of the friend accounts I added to test things, keeps getting logged into forums.plex.tv. I cannot log in with my main account, because as soon as I hit “log in” - the friend account logs in. I have deleted all plex entries from passwords, and tried deleting cookies, but still it does this. Weird.
