Hello, I am trying to get support for Plex but with no luck for the moment. I contacted support, I wrote forum posts but I only got 1 reply and that did not solve my problem.

This cant be so hard. I cant see any subs (if I have the srt file) and I cant auto download subs although I have setup opensubtitles.

Can somebody please help?

Hello. I am using Plex Media player but I cannot find a way to load subtitles or if I have the srt file, to sync them! The M key that used to bring the options up on the right side not work anymore? I have setup open subtitles correctly. Please help me sort this out because this is the only thing that prevents me from buying the lifetime membership. My Plex server is install on my NAS Synology

I have searched the web but cant seem to find an answer. I want to be able to download subs through the player like Kodi does

Here is the support link for naming subtitles:

For example:
/Movies
Avatar (2009).mkv
Avatar (2009).en.srt

I have all if my srt files labeled like this and they work fine.

Subtitles are handled on the server end, not the client. You first add the files as mentioned above by @freggit. Then you can either update your library or just navigate to that movie’s pre-play screen and the subtitle file will be picked up and show up as a choice from the pre-play screen on the client.

For opensubtitles, you configure then you need to refresh your movie library, which will then try to download the subtitles. These then show up as a choice for the movie. There is no way to update subtitle info from the client end.
