I am very disapointed with Plex lately

Back when I bought my lifetime pass Plex seemed like a great idea, a more stable video system than XBMC supporting multiple clients from my home server. And, while often buggy and temperamental, it mostly delivered. Lately though Plex seems to have gone off on a bunch of random wild tangents. DVR, Cloud, and now News.

Mostly I’ve been ambivalent. Sure they haven’t been working on anything I care about but by the same token the efforts into DVR etc don’t really impact me.

News though is different. If I wanted someone to be able to randomly add spammy channels to my line up I’d subscribe to cable.

@squidbait You don’t have to click on the new item if you don’t want to use it. on TV device apps the “My Newcast” row can be removed.

If it is somehow playing stuff during or after thing played in your library then please tell us which client you are using.
