I have the latest Plex media server installed on my Synology NAS and I have a directory called Documentaries where I currently have 29 films, but in Plex, I only get 26 listed. The films I can´t add for any god damn reason is Hunting Hitler (3 seasons), Jeffrey Epstein - Filthy Rich and Making a Murder (1 season), everything else is fine, but those 3 won´t just be added. I tried to name the files to many different things, but no luck. Right now they are all named as the rest of the films that works, like Hunting Hitler S01E01.mp4 but I tried different names, no luck. The cataloge on the hard drive is named just like the rest of the files that works, nothing special.
WHY can´t Plex recognize the files when everything else works?
Plex doesn’t support mixed content libraries… so it won’t add your shows to a movie-type library. You can create a tv-show type documentary library to add those shows instead.
Thanks for the reply man! The thing is that I don´t have/use my tv-shows inside of a movie library. I created a new folder called Documentaries where I put all movies that is a documetarie. All that is added so far works just fine, but not Hunting Hitler, Jeffrey Epstein Filthy Rich and Making a Murder. Do you mean that I have to put them inside of the TV-Movies directory instead of the Documentaries directory?
The S01E01 part in your file name (according to your first post) makes Plex think this file is a tv-show episode.

When you have a multi-part, for-television, movie, mini-series, or documentary which is aired on separate dates, you do list it as a TV series.

I think what @tom80H is trying to explain is that the library that you add TV Shows to needs to be a TV library. When you create the library you are presented with a few choices as to what type of library you want. If you try to put TV Shows into a movie type library it is unlikely that the agents will be able to correctly match those files as they are looking for movies that match the given information. So the best solution would be to create a new library, specify it as a TV library, change the name to Documentaries or whatever you like, and then let it build.
