I cannot get a direct connection with my server

I cannot seem to directly connect to my server on Plex. My Shield tv and my computer are connected via ethernet to the same network but I keep getting a message on my Shield that it is indirectly connected and as a result nothing will play in HD. Can someone help me with this? What are the settings for my PC server that I should turn on, off or set to?

Check the Ethernet settings on the PC. Make sure it is configured as a private, not public, network.

In Windows 10: Settings → Network & Internet → Properties
