I logged out of my plex web interface. This web interface is on the same machine hosting the PMS. Now I need to log in.
Plex login says it is an invalid username/password. I went ahead and reset my password twice. It still complains that it is an incorrect username/password when I know it is 100% correct username and password.
I do have 2FA enabled but I do not get to that point when I log in. I am also not asked for my 2FA when I am resetting my password.
Here is the funny thing. My plex and Facebook emails are the same. I have never logged into Plex with Facebook so I decided I will give that a try. When you do it for the first time Plex will tell you that hey you have a Plex account with this email and let’s connect Facebook to it. To do the connection I need my password and 2FA. It accepted the password on this screen. Like what?
Now I can log in with FB login just fine but I still cannot log in by email. Even though I made the connection to my FB using the same password.
