I cannot update my Plex Media Server to 1.40.2.8395 from 1.32.8.7639 on MyCloudPR4100

After I manually installed 1.40.2.8395 over my current version, I closed all web browsers and opened an Incognito browser. I received a response code 503: Plex Media Server is currently running database migrations. I could return after about 30 minutes, but I received no response from the page. I returned later, thinking it was going to take some time, but still nothing. I then manually installed 1.32.8.7639, and it is working. Any advice on how to update to the latest?
I tried looking for an earlier version of 1.40, I found 1.40.1.8227, but it does not see any of my libraries.

Using Mac OS, I also have PR4100 and cannot open the downloaded content titled PlexMediaServer-1.40.3.8555-fef15d30c-MyCloudPR4100_OS5.bin …

Additionally I cannot open the Plex Media Server app from the Applications folder.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or how to get in touch with PLEX for assistance?
