I can't setup my libraries on Macbook, what is going on?

Hello:

I want to start by saying I have read the directions on claiming my server, followed directions and this does not help my issue.

I have been running my server from Windows 10 with no issues. I decided to switch to an older Macbook that I no longer use. I logged out of my old server, deleted everything, installed the new server on my Macbook and thought I was good to go.

I can get in to the server, I can get in to the app, and everything seems to be working. However, I cannot add my folders for my videos. I go in to select the folders, and go through all of the steps and once I select them to be saved, I get an error that says my changes can not be saved.

I have tried other folders, nothing.

I have deleted my server two different times and reinstalled, nothing seems to help. I basically cannot add my folders for Movies.

I have tried searching the forums for the past 2 hours and either I am not typing in the right keywords or phrase, but I am finding nothing that fits my problem on a Mac.

I can usually figure things like this out, but in this case I am lost. Can anyone give me some things to try? Please find the screenshot attached.

Did you browse to the folder or type it direct? Should not the forward slashes be back slashes (i.e. C:\Users\Default\Music). Also (I don’t know Macs) but is the full path to your folder there?

@grhiner On a Mac the slashes are the other way. They have the path correct for a user default folder

@traylor1 Under “Select Type” is it set to English? And can you check if the clock is right on your Mac. May need to see the server logs

Having the same issue on my Windows 10 machine. Doesn’t matter if I am trying to add a library on my network share or on my local C Drive. Nothing seems to be working.

I do not see a “Select Type” anywhere, but English is selected everywhere else.

I have attached the Logs and Database if someone would be able to look at it.

i did nothing. just saw that other people ran into it and a restart worked for them
