I guess one time only Lifetime pass offer is not really a one time thing?

Plex Team,

I signed up for the lifetime pass when you made the one time discounted offer. You guys were clear that this was a one time offer never to be extended again.

I feel duped now, as I’ve learned from friends you have extended that offer out to others with the below offer. You go as far as telling these folks not to share the news.

Can you please explain the decision to go back on your word?

You signed up for a lifetime Plex Pass subscription prior to our price change (which occurred September of 2014). We originally presented the lifetime plan as a “limited time” offer; to be clear, we never presented it as a “one time” offer. That limited time has continued through now, but it’s always possible that we might choose to discontinue that plan at some point in the future.

We do also occasionally select certain accounts to receive special offers. Some of those might be discounts on a Plex Pass subscription (or they might be something else). Whether or not any other account might receive (or even make use of) a special offer doesn’t affect anything with your account, though. They don’t take anything away from your subscription. :slight_smile:

Thank you for the follow-up Chris. The ‘one time’ feeling was because the offer was presented as, this price will be going up, if you don’t get it now the price will be higher going forward.
