how long will it be at this price for, as I was planning on buying after Christmas
Whereever you saw that price, it is probably a limited offer.
As such it has a note how long it is valid in the very same place.

I guess the price on that page is only valid for the particular logged-in plex user.
When I go there, I see the regular price 149.99 €
I have notified some ppl who maintain the website to look into adding an expiration notice.

I’ve been scouring the interwebs for a good black friday deal, as I’d really like to get a lifetime pass, but the 150€ is just too much for me to pay in one go.
It kinda sux if only a select handful of people get offers like this.

Yep, only a handful is selected. I too, made the same mistake as you, thinking that if they were to promote anything, it would be around Black Friday through Cyber Monday. On Nov 21, I made a post in another thread hoping for a Black Friday special this year! Now get this… little did I know that I was one of the handful selected for the promotion. I only started looking for deals around the 24th, and I started checking my emails for Plex offers, lo and behold… I FOUND IT! I was offered life time for $74.99. I was ready to purchase, but I realized the email was from Nov. 18, so I made sure it was 2016, and yes it was, so I was happy again. Surely the deal is still good, it’s Black Friday! Nope, I was wrong. As I read further, the deal expired Nov 21.
I contacted them on the 24th, the same day I found the email, to make an exception for me. I figure in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I got a shot! But nope, the person I got was pretty stern, he can’t do anything for me. It is so annoying, that they would make this offer from the 18th to the 21st when everyone figures if anything special is coming, it would come around black friday, so I’m sure there were others like me who missed the boat. And the promo email had this big THANKS graphic which obviously alludes to Thanksgiving. Yet the expiration date was Nov 21. Arghhh!
