I Have Issues With Plex. I hope Plex sees the video in the link below.

As others have stated, you really need to follow the Plex naming guidelines. Several people have gave you advice as well as programs to use to help you solve the problem.

Keep on trying, he seems to be immune to your advice since he refuses to do what he has to do.

Here is one for you @chadergeist82 :
My Plex works fine, so nothing wrong with it. Why? Guess what: I keep folder structure and naming like it should be

I could also blame the manufacturer of my car that it does not go 100 km/h (or mph if you prefer that) with the rear gear because I only want to look outside the rear windows and refuse to use the front windows.

The problem here is User Error…all the problems you showed in the video are not problems. They can be “fixed” with options in the settings.

Also, if you refuse to name your files correctly, then Plex cannot scrape the data for you. For instance, you insist on naming the TV Show “Skippy” with the incorrect name “Skippies”. Maybe you just don’t understand how this feature works? Plex finds information for things based on the file name. If you want to download stuff from public trackers and not name the files correctly, than there’s only so much Plex can do.

It’s like you’re expecting it to magically divine what movie or tv show you’ve given it. Even with incorrect naming data Plex is very good at finding matches but you have to give it SOMETHING to go on.

As for finding the posters, you need to use the “Match” or “Fix Match” option that is available on content, which allows you to search for the correct information and tell Plex to pull all the data from whatever you choose.

Plex is pretty darn good at doing a lot with a little information, but you’re complaining that there’s a problem when in actuality you’ve refused to do even BASIC reading to learn how to use it.

I really didn’t get anything. Telling me to change the name of my folders is absurd. I have always named my folders Torrent Downloads with Movies and Series in it for ONE YEAR without any dam issues. I have this one issue and now I am not suppose to name it that or this…bull crap. Sorry. It is Plex at fault, not me. I am not going to change folder’s names when it is how I have been doing it for more than a year without any problem. The folders stay that way, they are not the causing issue. It is something in Plex’s software that is the issue.

Another thing, Plex doesn’t know how to fix issues and always directing me to places like this where I am suppose to find answers from other people. Plex doesn’t know anything on how to fix the Video Unavailable issue. I am so sick of this popping up. The video is in the right place and all where I put it and uploaded it too. It is not me that is doing anything wrong, it is their software. Go figure!

No, it’s you. 100% you.
You shouldn’t ask for help when you’re not willing to try the advice people give you. Several people tried to help you and all you did is complain and shut them down.

Sorry if you all feel that way. I wanted help, but when people tell me that I shouldn’t have my folders named the way I did when I had them named like that for a dam year without any problems…I took it as a slap in the face.

There are things in life worry getting offended about and the name of a directory isn’t worth it at all. Just try renaming it, like everyone suggested, and refresh the metadata. Just try it…

My Ford Focus ran great for a year putting Diesel fuel in it until it blew up!.. Now they tell me to use unleaded gas?.. This is Ford’s fault so they should fix it for free!.. (even though it is clearly stated to use unleaded only)
AND… Ford has no clue so I will keep putting Diesel in it, as it worked before, so it should work now.

We told you how to fix the issue, and it involves renaming your files. This is a community forum, many people here can help and do. Try following their advice instead of rejecting it. A ton of people use this software and it works fine for them. You alone appear to be having this issue here, so its safe to say the problem is user error and not software error. I have supplied links below to assist you with the naming conventions.
