I am now experiencing the same issue. Samsung TV with amazon fire stick.

I had uninstalled plex from the amazon fire stick and reinstalled, updated the plex server on the pc and still experienced the same issue. Upgraded the fire stick to the 4k version today and the issue is now gone. For kicks, plugged the old fire stick back in, uninstalled and reinstalled the plex app and the issue is there. Hope this helps anyone that is still experiencing the issue.

I have the same issue.

Fire TV Gen2
Already tried reinstalling Plex on Fire TV and changing Dolby setting on Amazon Fire TV.
No changes Ambient Audio is working but no voice sound.

Same issue here, dont even have an audio options in plex settings to change anything

Is this a known issue? Just happened upon this today when I finally updated my first gen fire stick to the current version. Whatever channel holds the majority of the dialogue is missing, but I can hear music.

I too been having the same issue. But was able to fix it just now after having played around with it for weeks.

On the Plex App on the FireTV Stick went to Settings > Advanced > Passthrough
Changed Passthrough from Disabled to Optical. Tried HDMI and that didnā€™t work. But changing to Optical worked.

Thank you for posting this, I had toggled a ton of settings but hadnā€™t tried this one yet. Setting to Optical worked great.
