I have Plex Pass, but the download button isn't showing up

I have a Plex Pass subscription, and we recently identified that the Download button does not appear for accounts that have access to my library, even with download permission applied to the profile. In testing, I noticed that this only happens for my account linked to the Linux server, and it’s the only one that shows the download option.

The person wanting to download must meet one of the following:

  • Have a Plex Pass
  • Be in your Plex Home
  • Have a Plex account created before August 1, 2022

Thank you for your attention, but I’ve been a member since 2017, using Plex Pass for the past few years, and even so, people who have access to my library can’t download anything.

When did the person who wants to download create their Plex Account? Your creation date is irrelevant. Are they a member of your Plex Home?

Now I understand the response. Let me see when he created the account, but I believe it wasn’t before the mentioned deadline.

I was understanding that everything depended on my account, since I’m the one providing the content for him to watch, but I understand now that it’s more related to his account itself.
