IIRC Plex isn’t dealing well through Synology’s “Quick Connect”.
Can you access your server ok using its local IP address (based on the above screenshot that should be http://192.168.0.60:32400/web) or through the hosted version of the Plex web app (https://app.plex.tv/desktop)?
Yes, to both.
Now what do I do?
Would you please open FileStation,
Navigate to PlexMediaServer/ AppData / Plex Media Server
Right-click “Logs” → “Compress to Logs.zip”
When complete, download to your computer.
Attach that ZIP file here for review.
Here is the zip fileLogs.zip (11.7 KB)
Would you mind uploading that again please?
I only got a partial ZIP file – which is invalid and cannot be opened.
Normal size is about 800K → 4MB when zipped. Your upload is only 11KB
Please make certain to give it enough time to complete the upload (a URL will be printed in the reply window when complete) before clicking “Reply”
Logs.zip (11.7 KB)
Try this one. Logs.zip (2.1 MB)
Thanks for that. Got it that time.
PMS is starting up ok.
Your logs are showing me that there is no attempt to authenticate.
This happens when PMS sees:
It will ignore any attempt to access it beyond providing the initial client (Plex/web) to load into the browser.
It’s PMS’ default security protecting your media.
I’m attempting to use a Synology DS220J NAS server that I just bought.
Do you see in the address bar of your browser?
See the “quickconnect.to” ?
This is something you wouldn’t know about. quickconnect.to
is a domain name.
When Synology gives your browser that link, IF this is the initial setup of PMS, Plex’s security kicks in
The easiest way forward here (until you get through the setup)
Thank you so much. It is working
