I like the new layout

Thank you for revising the movie tile screen. I like that the movie posters are not so subdued now. Before it was a pain to see the dark images from my couch, and now it’s much easier to see what’s available to watch. I’d prefer the A-Z vertical selector be back on the left side though - what was the reason to move it? To match the other apps/clients I’m guessing, right?

Huge kudos for putting the audio information on the movie detail page, and to now be able to pick the audio source before playing! I’ve been wanting that for a while, so thanks!

I really like the new layout also. Also AUDIO AND SUBTITLE SELECTION BEFORE PLAYBACK WOO!

I have been waiting for this feature forever as most of my stuff is AAC + 5.1 track so this is a welcome addition.

Just got beta access. Thanks for letting me know about this @danjames92

Excited to test out the audio/sub selection. What did they change about movie tiles/layout?

So I’ve got the beta installed now. Settings for audio stream and subtitles are definitely nice. Everything seems to pop a lot more now too.

Problem I seem to have - the background on the main screen is really blurry and doesn’t seem to change when I hover from tile to tile. When I select a tile, the background changes to whatever that media is, as expected.

Is this blurry background intended? Anyone else seeing this?

Think the blurry background is new and obviously the colour scheme has changed.

Bugs I’ve noticed:

On Deck not updating without exiting and re-opening the app.
Subtitles being automatically picked even if none are selected meaning I have to disable in video player GUI.
Audio settings i.e. 5.1 track not being picked automatically on the same show after watching an episode, I think it used to remember what track you had playing as use that as the default for the show.

obviously the colour scheme has changed.

I asked what changed before I saw it. As I said, it “pops” a lot better now, largely due to the new color scheme.

Is the blurry background intentional? I hope not. Seems a bit off-putting.

I have noticed both on-deck not working properly (as you described) as well as continue watching. Continue watching does the same thing, it will only update if I leave the app then reopen the app.

Continue watching appears to be limited to three items. I can’t remember if this is the same on public release or not, so just noting that down here.

Thanks @danjames92 , this is already fixed and will be on next beta.

@Andrroid yeah, it is, to be consisten with the rest of Plex TV Apps.

It’s always been that way, yeah.

Thanks for the responses @antoniolg !
