i set my Plex server up from scratch a week or so ago after a catastrophic failure about a 2 years ago; life was kicking me in the face daily and i just let it go until recently.
I really don’t know what the issue is. at first i thought it was a Roku issue as content would play on my android just fine but nothing would play on the Roku with no real info in the failure message. it would load/buffer to 33%, hang and then die.
while this was going on i could watch anything i wanted from my phone or computer… inside or outside the home network. last night, this ground to a halt. now i cant watch anything from any device, on any network. i have received an error code a couple of times on the windows client (error code 4294967279). i did some searching and decided to erase the contents of my Codecs folder but that hasn’t changed anything. it has been a VERY long time since i initially set up my original Plex server (circa 2013 maybe) and it grew like Frankenstein’s monster over the years but was always an upgrade of the original. i still have the drive zfs datastore that the original was on and i may try to resurrect it if posting on here doesn’t produce a quick fix that i forgot about years ago or something.
i posted the respective versions requested below and have added the server debug logs. if anyone has any advice i would love your help! thanks in advance!
