Like it’s name implies, it was designed specifically for Windows Media Center and will transfer Program Titles, air dates, descriptions etc to your transferred files.
I have a premium pass, but even the free version will do everything you need.
Been using that for over 10 years and yes it removes everything from the PlexDVR folder I even have PLEX settings under Library is set to scan daily between 2 am and 5 am. I thought that would stop PLEX from scanning that TV show until the next day. Because after the recording MCE only takes 10 minutes to remove commercials and reduce file size
It seems when PLEX records the show it is automatically scanned into the Server instantly and when MCE is finished PLEX scans it in at 2 am and I have 2 Folders in My PLEX library. So one works would be MCE and the PLEX one which the video file is gone showing in Red Not available. Until I go in and delete it manually. From PLEX Browser
Remember there is no video file in the PlexDVR folder MCE has deleted it within a hour of recording.
This behavior is fully expected.
It was Plex which recorded the file. So it adds the recording immediately into the designated Plex library.
Now another software is grabbing the file away from under Plex and shoves it somewhere else.
Since Plex is not instructed about what the other software is doing, it can only react in this way
