This idea will allow the server administrator to set a default Home Screen view for all users.
Plex already randomly generates several recommendation categories every time the “Recommendations” tab in each library is refreshed. For example, “Top Unplayed”, “Top Fantasy Movies”, “Rediscover”, “Movies with Tom Hanks”, etc.
The server administrator should have access to the master list of categories that Plex can generate from, and the ability to add them to the Home Screen by default for all users.
This can already be done on an individual client level with the UNO UI, but it can be accomplished much more effectively on the server.
This would greatly enhance the watching experience, especially for users with large libraries. This would allow for a much larger percentage of a given library to be exposed directly to the user, therefore increasing engagement and decreasing the average time it takes to find something they want to watch.
