Identifies wrong video format

I have several files with Dolby Vision that identifies correct in Plex player on Mac, but use wrong on Apple TV 4K.

On Mac, Plex identifies as: 4K DoVi (HEVC Main 10

On AppleTV 4K, the same file show as 4K HDR - and - continues to send HDR to TV

Using other players on same AppleTV 4K, fetching the file from Plex server, correctly show as Dolby Vision - and sends to TV as Dolby Vision - all working as it should.

Is this per design? Is this something caused by AppleTV and Plex combo?
If so - why do other players show correct?

+1 experiencing this issues as well, specifically with hybrid HDR/DoVi files
