Holy ■■■■, I honestly didn’t think they could top the streaming pile of ■■■■ that is the new IOS app, but they have and they have tanked the usefulness of Roku along with it.
This top center bar thing? What is it? It’s unusable unless you’re 2 ft away from the TV. It shows 5 libraries at a time, takes forever to scroll and looks like absolute ■■■■.
Once again I’m saddled with a bunch of plex approved bullshit shoved front and center, while my content and my server are pushed to the rear as an afterthought.
Once again they have decided for some reason that playlists are bad, not only do they not get their own library, they don’t even exist at all anymore! What the ■■■■?
All you had to do was literally nothing, no one wanted any of this and the only people who like any of it have 6 movies and a tv show to get through. Roll back to what it was please. Or give us the option, quit straddling us with this stupid looking bullshit. No one wants you to compete with Netflix or Hulu, just be god damn plex.
Edit: turns out playlists do still exist, but in typical plex fashion they are broken up and hidden among the various libraries so you have to go hunting them down as opposed to a centralized library like the were before, because ya know, going on Easter egg hunts for content is something that everyone wants to do!
