Wreckless update has wrecked Roku

Whatever update was just pushed has rendered Plex useless on my Roku devices. It is inexcusable, and a breach of customer-trust, to push these kinds of updates without testing and the option to skip or revert. I’ve been a long-time Plex user, but I’m currently looking at alternatives. I’m sick and tired of having the experience constantly change.

I have had Emby running in parallel for years, guess I am making the switch cause this is a sh** show.

If you follow the Plex forum with any regularity, you’d have seen these changes coming for about six months. While I agree with you, I would say that it would be infinitely more helpful to Plex if you spelled out some of the exact things that you don’t like about the interface, especially if something isn’t working like it should.

With respect, no amount of communication would have helped the fact that the Roku app is completely nonfunctional at the moment - as in nothing loads. No libraries, no other features. It’s completely dead on Roku despite restarts on all devices and the server.

Browsing other forums like reddit shows many people are experiencing the same issues.

These updates were clearly not adequately tested if so many people are being affected.

I am absolutely with you, trust me. I’ve been using this version in Preview for months, and a bunch of us have been complaining. This is a half baked rollout at best.
Try: Unfavorite and Refavorite your libraries (which is a bit of a pain) and see if that doesn’t clear up the home screen… marginally. I just got the update, and it’s an old trick we learned during the Preview period.
