[implement] Show results from all available libraries under Actor view, not just the current library
Over 4 years that this has been open and it has still not been implemented? Only 196 votes? Come on, what’s the hold up? Let’s get this implemented already!

Such a feature could also be defined in the Settings to suit everyone’s interests (result from all libraries or within the current library).

Agreed, it is disappointing that PLEX prioritizes new features over feature requests. I mean, it took them 8 years to implement playlist sharing. This strategy / business focus needs to change.

It’s a shame years and years and nothing done in something that should be already there on day one. It’s a useless function without correct implementation.
I have two different movie libraries, and a tv series library. I miss KODI that I could see everything an actor or a director has done and I have in my libraries. I used to use this all the time, but since I changed to plex it’s annoying It does not work anymore

This is extremely aggravating, so much that I’m considering just having all my movies in one big library, but even that won’t link actors in Movies to the same actor in TV Series.

But issue is still unsolved 5 years later, doesn’t look like it’s gonna be fixed any soon …
That seems so obvious that when you search for an actor work that we should ne able to see the movies and the tv shows he played in…
A plus would be to have a little biographie of the actor. Just saying…

I just wanted to come here and add this suggestion as well. With so many actors moving from TV to Movies and back and forth, it’d be an excellent update to the system!

5 years and this still has not been addressed? Is anyone from Plex actually reading this? Get on with it already. We need this feature to be implemented. I can search for an actor by name and it shows what libraries that actor is found in. If I can search, why can’t I click on the actor thumbnail and get a list of all movies and TV shows the actor stars in?

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of stuff Plex has been aware of for years that they refuse to do anything about. Damn ridiculous! Hopefully they might get onto this one eventually.
Sometimes i wonder if they use their own software to watch their content…
